Over the coming months, we will be phasing out the old Merseylink Smartcard. The Merseylink Smartcard is no longer accepted as of 11 April 2021. All passengers who pay a fare will be required to apply for a TransportMe Smartcard to continue using our general access services cashless while taking advantage of the 20% discount on fares.
To apply for a TransportMe Smartcard, fill out this application form. If you already have a TransportMe Smartcard, there is no need to reapply. TransportMe Smartcard comes with the bonus of an app available for free to Apple and Android users. View the benefits of the TransportMe app here.
Any credit that remains on old Merseylink Smartcards will be transferred to your new TransportMe Smartcard when you apply. If you are a student who is eligible for free travel, please continue using your current in date Merseylink Smartcard until further notice.
